Trade License
Trade License is a certificate or document of permission granted for any business within the corporation entity or municipal limits to operate as a particular trade in a particular location. However, this license does not permit the holder to operate any other trade than specified in the document and is not transferable.
Regulations vary from state to state and the jurisdiction varies for locations for operating business. In most states, the commissioner in the corporation grants or renews the trade license. The applicant must apply within 30 days his or her business commences. On submission of the application with documents, the concerned officer will check the suitability of the business for the purpose it will be operated and there are no safety or hazard issues to people or place.
The application to obtain trade license must be made out to the state government agency or corporation or municipality.the jurisdiction and the procedure will differ dependent on the state regulations. Sometimes a verification of the entity will be enforced , to appear in person to issue a trade license.
Trade license will be issued within a period of 15-20 days on submission. In most states trade license are valid for a year. They can be renewed before expiration for a renewal fee.
